2026 Lenten Season
Harvest Church | Newport News, VA

Harvest Church invites you to join us for the 2026 Lenten season, a sacred time set aside for reflection, prayer, and spiritual growth.

Lent begins on Wednesday, February 18th and concludes on Holy Thursday, April 2nd.

What Is Lent?
Lent is a sacred season observed by Christians around the world as a time of reflection, prayer, and spiritual preparation for the celebration of Resurrection Sunday. Lent is understood not primarily as a ritual observance, but as a season of consecration—a purposeful time set aside to draw closer to God.

Lent is an invitation to renew one’s commitment to holiness and deepen one’s relationship with Christ. It is a time to examine the heart, seek spiritual renewal, and pursue a closer walk with God through intentional devotion.

Lent encourages believers to reflect on the life, ministry, and sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Many choose to spend additional time in Scripture, devotion, and worship, allowing the Holy Spirit to bring renewal, conviction, and transformation. Above all, Lent prepares our hearts for the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. As we journey through these weeks of devotion, we do so with anticipation—looking forward to the hope, victory, and new life that Easter proclaims.

May this Lent be a time of grace, renewal, and transformation for you and your loved ones.
